Which mailbox providers support BIMI?

Still have a question, spotted an error, or have a better explanation or a source we should cite?

And Here's the good news: BIMI is growing. Here's the realistic news: it's not everywhere yet.

Gmail supports BIMI and requires a Verified Mark Certificate for the best results. Yahoo supports BIMI with either a VMC or self-asserted logos (no cert required). Fastmail displays BIMI logos on their desktop and mobile clients. Apple Mail on iOS shows BIMI logos if they're available, though support varies by configuration.

The notable gap right now is Microsoft through Outlook.com and Office 365, which doesn't yet support BIMI display. If your audience skews heavily toward Microsoft users, BIMI won't show up for them (though it won't hurt anything either). See also: BIMI requirements.

Since support is scattered across providers and evolving fast, before you build out your whole BIMI infrastructure, check whether your typical audience actually uses one of the supporting providers. If most of your recipients are on Gmail or Yahoo, you'll see solid ROI. If they're mostly on Outlook, you might want to understand how BIMI actually works first so you can decide if the setup effort is worth it for your audience.
