What is Fabel Spamsources?
Still have a question, spotted an error, or have a better explanation or a source we should cite?
spamsources.fabel.dk checks IPs only, never domains or websites. Fabel is a Danish association for responsible email use.
What the operator says
"Someone or something on your network sent us spam." Fabel Spamsources, read 1 Nov 2026.
What it really measures
Spam reaching Fabel's own network and members. It also weighs how your network responds: it sends abuse complaints to the contact on your IP's public record, and a wrong contact or a poor response makes a wider listing more likely.
Why you might be there
Something on your network sent them spam, or a whole block including your IP was listed because the network's records were poor. Fabel says cheap shared hosting often struggles here.
What to think about
Check that the abuse contact on your IP's public record works. If your server does not send email, Fabel says you need to do nothing. We class this as low-impact.
How to get off it
Do it yourself on the delist page, after logging in. It asks for the IP and a reason. The list typically updates within 20 minutes.
What "low-impact" means on these pages: the big mailbox providers rarely use the list, so it rarely affects delivery at Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo. It can still point at something worth fixing.
Want a hand getting this delisted? Here is how to write to a list's operator, or ask a person on our free SOS Hotline. Tell us the list and the IP or domain, and we reply within 48 to 72 hours.
A separate job: cleaning your list does not remove a listing. If you also want to know who on your list is safe to send to, clean your first 1,000 free.
The most useful email questions, once a month
One email a month. New questions worth reading, real deliverability changes (Gmail and Outlook updates, etc.), and any tool or report that landed since the last issue. No fluff, no upsell.
