What is PolSpam?

Still have a question, spotted an error, or have a better explanation or a source we should cite?

bl.rbl.polspam.pl checks IPs and rhsbl.rbl.polspam.pl checks domains.

What the operator says

"helping in the fight against spam by publishing black lists" PolSpam, read 1 Nov 2026.

What it really measures

This one is about your domain more than your server. rhsbl is the domain list, and bl holds the IPs where those domains live. One spamming domain can put a shared IP on the list and drag down everyone else on it.

Why you might be there

Your domain sent mail PolSpam counts as spam, or you share an IP with one that did. It treats some things as deliberate, like spamming from a separate domain, hiding behind another domain, paying someone to send, using mass spam services or landing pages.

What to think about

PolSpam does not delist domains that spam repeatedly. It may delist a one-off that was not done on purpose. Its rules also say it will not answer questions about why something is listed, and that it only answers mail administrators.

How to get off it

Do not ask for the IP. It clears by itself 7 days after the domain stops. For the domain, email from postmaster@ at that domain, in plain text with no images or tracking. Include the domain, its IP, the list's name, a line saying you are its mail administrator, and an honest account of why you think it is listed. The decision is theirs alone.

Hosting providers have their own delisting page.

Want a hand getting this delisted? Here is how to write to a list's operator, or ask a person on our free SOS Hotline. Tell us the list and the IP or domain, and we reply within 48 to 72 hours.

A separate job: cleaning your list does not remove a listing. If you also want to know who on your list is safe to send to, clean your first 1,000 free.
