What is spam.pedantic.org?
Still have a question, spotted an error, or have a better explanation or a source we should cite?
This list belongs to one person, whose site doesn't give a name. It checks IPs.
What the operator says
"blocking people who have sent me spam" Pedantic.org, read 1 Nov 2026.
What it really measures
One person's inbox. The list holds addresses that sent spam to its owner, and a lookup answers yes or no.
Why you might be there
Mail from your IP reached this person and they counted it as spam. If you use a shared email provider, another customer may have sent it.
What to think about
Treat it as one person's report. It is worth a look for the cause, and nothing on the site suggests it reaches far.
How to get off it
Email webmaster@pedantic.org and say what you did to solve the problem. If you send through a shared provider such as Google, they have to deal with it and make contact, so go to them first.
Want a hand getting this delisted? Here is how to write to a list's operator, or ask a person on our free SOS Hotline. Tell us the list and the IP or domain, and we reply within 48 to 72 hours.
A separate job: cleaning your list does not remove a listing. If you also want to know who on your list is safe to send to, clean your first 1,000 free.
