Terms of Service

These are the rules of using Review My Emails. We wrote them the way we would want them written for us. If a clause feels surprising, write to legal@reviewmyemails.com and tell us. By using the service you agree to them.

1. Who can use this

You may use the service if you are at least 18 years old (the age of contract formation in most jurisdictions we serve) and have authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or the company you represent.

Separately, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. See the Privacy Policy for that obligation.

2. What the service does

We provide email list validation, deliverability tooling, and educational content (the Email Almanac). You upload a list of email addresses; we run signals against each address and return a verdict per address. We also maintain free public tools (DMARC parser, SPF checker, blacklist checker, and so on) that you can use without an account.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if your account is compromised.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • validate lists you did not lawfully obtain (no scraped data, no purchased lists without lawful basis);
  • probe or attack the service, our infrastructure, or other users;
  • reverse-engineer the scoring or the underlying signal data to replicate the service;
  • break any law that applies to you, including spam law (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR) and consumer protection law.

We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate this. For serious or repeat violations we will tell you why.

5. Your data

The lists you upload remain yours. We process them on your behalf under the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement (DPA). For enterprise customers, the DPA forms part of this agreement.

6. Payments and refunds

Credits and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. The Refund Policy sets out when we refund and when we issue credit. If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, your statutory right of withdrawal applies; the Refund Policy explains how it works in practice.

7. The free tools

The free tools at reviewmyemails.com/tools are provided as-is and without any signup for most checks. You can run them on domains you own or have permission to test. Do not use the tools to probe domains you do not control at a rate that looks like an attack.

8. Intellectual property

The service, the brand, and the content we publish (the Email Almanac, the tools, the reports, the marketing copy) are ours. Your lists, your verdicts, and any content you submit remain yours. You grant us a limited licence to process your content so we can deliver the service to you.

9. Warranties and disclaimers

We work hard on the service. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Validation verdicts are advisory; you are responsible for the sending decisions you make with them. Nothing in this section limits your statutory rights as a consumer where those rights cannot be excluded by contract.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data) except where applicable consumer protection law says we are.

11. Termination

You can close your account any time from the dashboard or by emailing support@reviewmyemails.com. We can terminate or suspend your access for serious breach of these terms or where we are required to by law. We will explain why.

12. Changes to these terms

We can update these terms. For material changes we will email you at the address on your account and update the Last updated stamp at the bottom. Continued use after a material change counts as acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you can close your account and we will refund any unused prepaid credits per the Refund Policy.

13. Governing law and forum

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association.

EU, UK, and Swiss consumers: nothing in this section deprives you of the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the law of the country in which you have your habitual residence, including the right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country.

14. Contact

We split the inboxes so your message lands in front of the right person.
