The reasoning, in plain English

This is a Keep, and I stand behind it. The mailbox accepts mail, the domain’s records resolve cleanly, and the history shows a real person reading real email. You paid one credit for this verdict. If this address hard-bounces because the mailbox doesn’t exist, I return two. My call, my risk, not yours.

02The cost of waiting

Let’s do the math.

Gmail’s bulk-sender threshold is a 0.3% complaint rate. Cross that line and you sit in spam for an unpredictable recovery window.

Weeks, sometimes months, with no published timeline from Gmail or Yahoo. The math below is what prevention costs while it lasts.

Small list

5,000

emails cleaned

$37

$0.0074 per email

Mid-size

50,000

emails cleaned

$310

$0.0062 per email

Growing brand

250,000

emails cleaned

$975

$0.0039 per email

High-volume sender

500,000

emails cleaned

$1,625

$0.00325 per email

At 0.3%, a campaign needs fewer than 150 complaints per 50,000 sends to trigger the Gmail threshold. RME Clean starts at $0.008 per address and gets cheaper at higher volume (see the pricing calculator above). If even 1% of your list is a long-inactive address on a changed-hands domain or a known complainer, the recovery window costs more than any cleanup ever will.

03What we check

What one credit actually checks.

Every credit runs the full analysis. There is no “basic” tier that skips the important checks.

  • Syntax and formatting
  • DNS and MX record lookups
  • Mailbox SMTP acceptance probe
  • Address pattern risk flags
  • Disposable and throwaway addresses
  • Role addresses (info@, support@, etc.)
  • Domain reputation history
  • Engagement risk scoring
  • Catch-all server detection
  • Blocklist presence checks
  • Provider-specific intelligence (Gmail, Yahoo, Microsoft)
  • Written reasoning behind every verdict

Every address gets a verdict.

Not just “valid” or “risky.” We tell you exactly what we found, what it means for your deliverability, and what to do about it on your next send.

04How we think

Every address gets one of three verdicts, with the reason.

What sets RME apart isn’t the verdict, it’s what happens between the address and the verdict.

Ten years of watching how deliverability actually breaks, codified into a reasoning system that looks at domain infrastructure, sender-reputation history, blocklist exposure, address pattern flags, and dozens of behavioral labels validators never bother checking.

Every credit runs that full analysis, and you get back a verdict, the labels that drove it, every signal we saw, and the next move for each address.

Behind every verdict is a decade of deliverability reasoning codified into RME. Not AI hype. Not another dashboard. Just the answers I used to give clients by hand, on every address you upload.

05The gap

What we catch that validators miss.

Head-to-head against published features, last reviewed 29 June 2026.

Validation tools answer one question: does the mailbox exist? That is the SMTP acceptance check, and we do it too. The gap is everything that happens after the 250 OK.

We cross-check every address against engagement decay signals, sender reputation history, domain infrastructure quality (MX records, hosting patterns, WHOIS age), and a decade of receiver-side behavior we have watched and codified.

A valid address can still be a chronic complainer, sitting on a domain whose MX rotated last week, or already so saturated with other senders that your next send will land in spam. Those are the rows that torch your sender reputation, and the rows your current validator marked safe.

06Done for you

Don’t want to do it yourself?

Same pricing for the credits. Same analysis. We just do the work for you.

You send us the list. We upload it, run the full analysis, review the borderline cases by hand, and send you back a cleaned file with a report explaining everything we found. Same credit pricing. Zero fees on top.

07Questions

Questions people actually ask.

About pricing & credits

Do credits expire?

No. Buy them today, use them in six months. We don’t believe in artificial urgency.

Can I try first?

You get 1,000 credits free the moment you sign up. No credit card. Clean a sample of your worst-performing segment and see the verdicts before spending anything.

Do you offer refunds?

Credits don’t expire, so there’s no rush. But if something isn’t right, reach out. We’ll sort it out.

About the service

What does one credit get me?

One credit equals one address fully analyzed. Syntax, DNS and MX, mailbox SMTP probe, address pattern risk flags, domain reputation history, engagement risk, and a final Keep / Monitor / Suppress verdict with the reasoning behind it. Not just “valid” or “invalid”.

How is this different from a validation tool?

Validators answer whether an address exists. We tell you whether you should send to it, and why, with a written verdict. See the “What we catch” section above for the specific gap.

What if I just want you to do it for me?

Credits only. Zero fees on top of credits bought. We handle the upload, run the analysis, review borderline cases by hand, and send back the cleaned file with a full report. See the Done-for-you section above.

Twice a month. Real changes only.

New questions, deliverability shifts at Gmail and Outlook, and any tool that landed since the last issue. No fluff, no upsell.

Start for free. See what we find.

1,000 credits. No credit card. No expiration. Upload a sample of your list and find out what your current validator has been missing.

One credit buys a signed verdict. When a Keep I signed bounces, two come back. That’s not a mystery. It’s skin in the game.
